Volocopter and Grab conduct air-taxi feasibility study in Southeast Asia

Volocopter and Grab announced that they will conduct a joint study on urban air mobility. This feasibility study is part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to investigate the prospect of different urban air mobility solutions in megacities.

The focus of the study will be on exploring which are the most suitable Southeast Asian cities will be for air taxis. The purpose is to provide the best use cases for air taxis and doing possible joint flight tests.

The results of the feasibility study will be the beginning of the potential future cooperation between the both companies. This could lead to launching urban air mobility services together in the near future, because both companies aim to solve the current mobility issues by technological innovations.
