On 27 November 2018 DroneClash will take place during Amsterdam Drone Week at RAI Amsterdam. DroneClash and Amsterdam Drone Week will show the world that The Netherlands is at the forefront of all drone technology and in this case specifically, in counter drones. DroneClash 2.0 is the second edition of this battle and will be better than ever. The drones in DroneClash 1 were all but impervious to our own counter-measures. For example, during the last edition over 20 net shells were fired, but none hit a drone. The drones were simply too fast, a lesson in itself for the counter drone sector. This year, things will be different. The battles will also be slightly longer than last time, so that teams can really show off their skills and tech. We cannot wait to see the innovations the teams will come up with this year. Last year, amongst other things, a new type of hacking was developed and is now actuallly being researched for market potential by the authorities. “Eventhough we still have a long way to come, we are quite satisfied with the results. The more reason to keep organising this fantastic event’’ says Mark Wiebes, Chief Innovation Officer of the Dutch National Police Force.
Amsterdam Drone Week is the global platform for sharing knowledge on current air solutions, potential innovations and vital regulations. Creating valuable connections with all key players, knowledge institutes and authorities to co-create and co-operate to build the UAM-ecosystem. Through virtual hybrid summits, expert sessions and matchmaking, ADW connects the entire UAM value chain around drone regulations, new technology and future solutions.
