10 must follow twitter accounts if you work with drones

Are you doing business in the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) industry or working in an industry that uses drone technology? Are you interested in the newest drone technologies, business applications and the latest around Unmanned Aircrafts? Good news, Amsterdam Drone Week has curated a personal top 10 of our favourite must follow twitter accounts of the moment for you.

 

  1. Drone Adventures, @DroneAdventures

    Drone Adventures is a non-profit organisation that keeps you up to date on applications of drones in conservation, cultural, humanitarian and search and rescue domains. They regularly post updates of their missions.
     

  2.  WomenandDrones, @WomenandDrones
    A great community that strives to raise the profile and visibility of women in the UAS industry. The founders come from a variety of backgrounds but are commonly bonded by drones.

  3. Helen Greiner, @helengreiner

    Helen is CEO of CyPhy Works, MIT alum, co-founder iRobot and drone enthusiast. She shares loads of content on the latest drone applications, drone technology used for good causes and must watch video’s on drones.
     

  4. Altasia on Drones, @Alt_copter

    Follow Alt Copter for your daily drone news, reviews, event coverage, industry developments and more. They address a wide variety of topics in different industries where UAS’s are applied.

  5. Droneii, @droneii

    This market research company offers detailed market reports, insights and consultancy on anything related to commercial drones and drone applications. Also worth having a look at their website to see what they have on offer.

  6. Brendan Schulman, @dronelaws

    Brendan Schulman is Vice President of Policy & Legal Affairs at DJI and his feed is full of interesting articles on life saving drone operations, new drone laws and regulations that are impacting the future of commercial drones.

  7. CNY Drones, @cnydrones

    This hub called Central New York's Drone Community promotes STEM education & Safety Awareness via interactive demonstrations, networking, workshops, mentoring programmes, races and much more. A great initiative that is undoubtly a precursos of many initiatives to come.

  8. Drone Analyst, @droneanalyst

    Colin Snow, CEO and Founder of Skylogic, has a quirky way of commenting on- and sharing the latest in drones. As a hobbyist, he does aerial photography and video with multi-rotor helicopters. He’s member of some major UAS industry groups (incl. AUVSI, RCAPA, and AMA), is a Part 107 FAA Certified Remote Pilot and definitely worth a follow. 

  9. That Drone Show, @thatdroneshow

    That drone show has a wealth of content on their website and shares the nicest crowdsourced pictures and videos of drones designed by the crowd. On top of that they create Drone Light Shows, custom drones for events, drone races for corporate functions, marketing consultancy and video production.

  10. DroneBlocks, @DroneBlocks
    A team of educators, programmers, and pilots got together and created a programme that teaches young students the ins and outs of drone operations to drive the development of new and creative ways to use drones to do good things locally, nationally and globally. They regularly share inspiring stories about their students’ accomplishments.
