Drone Alliance Europe Event

Preparing for Take-off: The EU-Wide Drone Regulatory Framework

Organised by: Drone Alliance Europe

The European Union is expected to soon finalise the long-awaited Implementing and Delegated Rules outlining detailed regulations for drones. With these new rules in place, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and national Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs) will now largely conduct oversight of the European drone industry. As EASA and CAA officials work to roll out the first EU-wide drone regulatory framework, government and industry must work together to ensure the continued growth and success of the European drone industry through harmonised implementation across all Member States.

Drone Alliance Europe is honoured to coordinate an important panel discussion leading up to implementation of these regulations featuring insights from leading EU, Member State, and industry stakeholders. Participants will discuss the core issues impacting the future of the European drone market, including:

  • Harmonised drone regulations across EU Member States
  • Member State responsibilities set forth in the Delegated Act & Implementing Rule
  • “Smart” handling of regulating safety and security aspects
  • Public acceptance and support for drone technology
  • The need for sufficient spectrum
